About Mr. Cain...
My name is Chad Cain and I teach U.S. History, World History, and Government. This is my 14th year working at Harrison High School. In addition to teaching, I am also the sponsor of our Student Council and PA announcer for our varsity boys basketball and baseball teams. I feel it is a privilege to be a teacher and I very much enjoy helping young people discover why history is the most fascinating subject a person can study!
On a personal note, I am married to an amazing woman and I enjoy watching sports (especially Cardinals baseball and IU basketball). Some of my favorite TV shows are Twilight Zone, Cheers, House of Cards, and Dexter. I am a huge movie buff and a total (and unashamed) Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fan. I'm also an avid reader and my favorite author is Stephen King, but I also enjoy the books of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.
I am also a published author. My first novel, One Night In October, was released by Solstice Publishing in April 2015 and is available at the Evansville Barnes and Noble (as well as Harrison's Media Center). My second novel, Of Ravens and Lambs, is finished and hopefully will be published sometime in 2017. For more on that, check out my author website: chadacain.com
Feel free to email me anytime with questions or concerns about my class!
